Handmade Edinburgh
Prepare to be inspired by the best contemporary craft makers from Scotland and beyond when Handmade Edinburgh rolls into town. The Contemporary Crafts and Design Fair will transform The Hub, Royal Mile, from 28-30 October 2016 and over a 100 makers working across disciplines including ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, wood, furniture and fashion will showcase their wares and talents over the three days.
From the fashion arena there’ll be the opportunity to meet textile designer Morag Macpherson; a master of digital printing who creates original kimonos in fluorescent designs with patterns inspired by her travels in Korea. If jewellery is more your thing look out for jewellers including Kaz Robertson, whose bundles of mismatching colours and patterns in resin create eye-catching collections.
For the home there’s a handpicked group of talent including Helen Michie who produces stunning raku fired ceramic wall pieces, decoratively adorned with natural colours, shapes and forms.
Advance tickets are available for £5 at www.handmadeinbritain.co.uk/Edinburgh. Alternatively, grab a ticket on the door for £6.
