Less than one minute’s drive from the M27, you’ll find yourself surrounded by picturesque villages and free-roaming wildlife in no time. A mini road trip, if you will.

3. The Dark Hedges, Ballymore, Ireland

Guaranteed to impress any Game of Thrones fan, a trip to the infamous ‘King’s Road’ will score you major points. The enchanting avenue of beech trees has become a popular spot for tourists in Northern Ireland and while it cannot be driven down due to recent damage, there is nearby parking available at the Hedges Estate Hotel.

For a truly romantic experience, the Keswick to Borrowdale to Buttermere drive covers 38 miles and allows you to take in some of the most stunning sights such as Lodore Falls waterfall and Honister Slate Mine.
