Let's be honest, finding somewhere nice to go for dinner on Valentine's is a nightmare. Thankfully, we've teamed up with one of the most romantic spots in Edinburgh, Hotel du Vin, to offer you the chance to enjoy an amazing three-course meal with champagne in the stunning bistro. Here's a sneak peek at the menu:
Starters
Chicken liver parfait
Brioche toast, raisin chutney
Soupe à l'oignon
Classic French onion soup
Frito misto with chilli, lemon & coriander
Courgettes, artichoke, tender stem broccoli, asparagus and spring onions fried in a tempura batter , served with sweet chilli sauce (VG)
Garlic roast scallops and tiger prawns (for two to share)
Scallops roasted in the shell with garlic butter, alongside juicy tiger prawns, served with lemon and watercress
Mains
Duck shepherd's pie
Braised duck legs in their own rich gravy, topped with velvety pomme purée
Cod and mussel dauphinoise
Cod, mussels, spinach and onions poached in a cream sauce, topped with dauphinoise potatoes
Cheateaubriand (for two to share)
500g of roasted beef fillet steak cut off the top end of the fillet, seved with beef tomatoes, potatoes, watercress, pomme frites, green beans, peppercorn and bearnaise sauce
