Get 2020 off to a winning start at the Betway New Year’s Day raceday at Musselburgh Racecourse.

The hugely popular raceday, which sold out last year, promises to be a great day out for the whole family filled with spectacular jump racing, a racing programme of over £100,000 as well as the famed New Year’s Sprint, one of the most historic athletic events in the world.

New for 2020 are the fantastic ceilidh band Kilter who are sure to have you dancing between races. Pre and post party entertainment comes from the brilliant Funkwagen in heated marquees with additional bars and seasonal food.

A warm welcome awaits with free tasty bites and after you've sampled some of the delicious welcome treats, there will be plenty of seasonal food available to purchase such as pokes of pigs in blankets, pulled pork and apple sauce rolls, gourmet hot dogs and gourmet fries from street food vendor Dognbon, mulled cider and boozy hot chocolate plus all of the racecourse favourites.

It's a great way to celebrate with friends and family - also, kids go free!

If racegoers need any more persuasion, there are return coach transfers available from across Edinburgh and the Lothians.  Buses depart from Edinburgh at 10.30am &  11.15am, Galashiels 10am, Gorebridge 10.45am, Dunbar 10.15am, Haddington 10.40am, Penicuik 10.30am and Dalkeith 11am. Departures from racecourse are at 4.30pm

Ticket purchase is necessary (you can do that here) for the bus service to and from Musselburgh Racecourse. Tickets are priced at £10 return per adult.

Advance purchase tickets are available offering a saving of £5 per adult at musselburgh-racecourse.co.ukUnder 18s go free when accompanied by an adult. This event will likely sell out so make sure you buy in advance and don't miss out.
